New to Family Routine Tracker? Here's how to get your family set up in minutes:

  1. Create an account — Sign up with your email and create a secure password.
  2. Set up your household — Give your household a name and configure basic settings.
  3. Add your children — Create profiles for each child with their name, avatar, and birthday.
  4. Create routines — Set up morning and evening routines with tasks appropriate for each child.
  5. Configure points — Decide how many XP each task is worth and set level thresholds.
  6. Enable modules — Turn on additional features like meal planning, calendar, and savings.
  7. Set a PIN — Protect parent settings with a 4-digit PIN.
  8. Let kids start! — Show your children how to check off tasks and watch them level up.

Frequently Asked Questions

Account & Setup

How do I create an account?

Click "Launch App" and then "Request Access". Enter your name and email address, and your request will be reviewed by our team. Once approved, you'll receive login credentials to access your account and set up your household.

Can I have multiple households?

Yes! Parents can manage multiple households, which is useful for separated families or if you want to keep different groups of children organized separately.

How do I add another parent?

Go to Settings > Households and click "Request to Add Parent". Enter the new parent's name and email address. Your request will be reviewed by an administrator, who will create their account and add them to your household. Maximum 2 parents per household.

Tasks & Routines

How do I customize tasks for different children?

Each task can be assigned to specific children. When creating or editing a task, select which children should see that task in their routine.

Can tasks have different schedules?

Yes! Tasks can be set for specific days (weekdays only, weekends, specific days) and times (morning routine, evening routine, anytime).

What happens if a task is missed?

Incomplete tasks don't carry over by default. Parents can configure optional point penalties for missed tasks, or simply let children start fresh each day.

Data & Privacy

Is my family's data secure?

Yes! All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We follow GDPR guidelines and never sell your data. You can export or delete all your data at any time.

Can I export my data?

Absolutely! Go to Settings > Households and click "Export Data" to download all your household information as a JSON file.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings > Households and select "Delete Household". This will permanently remove all data associated with that household. For complete account deletion, contact support.

Technical

Does the app work offline?

Yes! The app works fully offline. Tasks can be checked off, and everything syncs automatically when you're back online.

What devices are supported?

Any device with a modern web browser! We're optimized for tablets (perfect for mounting in common areas), but phones and computers work great too.

How do I install it as an app?

On most browsers, you'll see an "Install" or "Add to Home Screen" option. This creates a standalone app icon that opens without browser controls.
